Ended up getting a RMAX4000 instead, the buttons on that one were giving me trouble so I got a 880, This will help me decide what to get when IR/ Bluetooth remotes come out so I can control everything with one remote.

Now I get to go back & read the entire 880 thread!

reading around on amazon it says there are 3 ways to redem a rebate.
1. the rebate should be in the box with the item. fill it out and mail it in.
2. online, follow the link, print the PDF
3. online paperless

Mine shipped today and already have the rebate form printed out. I do hate rebates though because the rebate companies get "rebates" on how many they can deny. So you must follow ever procedure to the letter in order to have a chance.

are the buttons on the 880 hard click, or are they mushy/foamy?

I lost out. Ordered it on 1/20 from amazon. Rebate is for orders 1/23 to 1/29. LOL!! That sucks!

That is true. I could do that. I probably should, but I think I will just keep this one. For $155 I'm still happy w/ it, and it was worth it to me. This remote has already surpassed my expectations.

There is a definite slightly audible click to the presses but would call them "somewhat" hard click as there is the smallest amount of mushy if you continue to push past the click.

Hopefully that wasnt too vague of an answer. Its hard to charectorize the feel of the buttons.

Optica - are the buttons hard plastic, or soft plastic?
