Hi, I am new to AVS Forum. I need tech help. I have a Sharp 50" Plasma - model # PZ-50HV2U. This plasma is nearly the same as a Pioneer PDP-5030 ( I think .) It has a separate media receiver as the Pioneer does. The problem is that there are no HDMI connections. I purchased a Pioneer Elite media receiver on e-bay - model PRO-05U which has HDMI connections and connects the same way to the panel. I cannot get the media receiver and the panel to work together. When I call Sharp, they cannot help me as they no longer sell plasmas and Pioneer won't help either as it is a Sharp unit. Can anyone out there help me or direct me to where I can find out what I can do. Thanks Frank

You cannot connect a Pioneer MR to a Sharp plasma panel. The Pioneer MR only works with Pioneer displays.
