Is it possible to combine a signal from my digital cable provider and OTA HD Antenna? My problem is this. I can't run a new cable from my antenna to my HDTV. My attic is almost nonexistent and makes it impossible to add new wires to the system. My wife has had it with running the wire through the window and across the living room. I need to combine the signal to run through the current wire and un split the signal before the digital cable box. Is this possible or is there another solution?

Also DirectTV is out because I get my internet through the cable and it would cost way too much to keep cable internet and switch to DirectTV or DISH. For some reason I can't get DSL in my area either.

Thanks,
Matt

Short answer: No. Some cable and OTA channels would probably overlap each other, causing lack of reception. What you're looking for is a "super-intelligent" splitter, which doesn't exist.

Not any kind of affordable way to do it. Also, your TV would have to have two different digital tuners, one for ATSC (OTA) and one for QAM (Digital cable), or separate cable box and internal TV tuner.

What about the wireless cable tv extenders, would they work for an antenna? Or you could split the cable in the attic, use the wire for the antenna and use the wireless cable tv extenter to the tv.

No. The wirless extenders are for a single demodulated channel.

They include IR remote extenders. Simply install the digital cable box in the attic with the wireless cable extender and it should work. Looking at the range in the specs this should also transmit the antanna signal.

That unit will not transmit a HD signal, OTA or cable.
