Please tell me I can somehow turn this off. Comcast is now putting an annoying advertisement section at the bottom of the guide. This is so annoying that I am considering changing to one of the dish services.

However, within a few months, Comcast will offer the superior Tivo software without that advertising for an extra $5/mo. Alternatively, you can purchase your own Tivo Series3 DVR. It brings up a smaller guide, that can be configured for a 3 cell size & no ads. rowdy117 01-28-07, 07:30 PM A suggestion is to hit the OK button, instead of Guide. Are you sure? And is this for all areas or just certain areas? Also what about limited bandwidth area? I'm in the south hills of pittsburgh. I've been told we are on a 800Mhz system (something like that) that limits their ability to give us all the HD channels. Will i be able to get the tivo service?? Also what's the deal going to be like.. just a software download to your box or are they going to bring me a tivo box? |
