When i output 480p to my Sony 32" HDTV the image is progressive, however it jumps alittle up and down. All other resolutions display perfectly (480i, 720p and 1080i. Does HDMI have issues outputing 480p sources? I have this issue with both my cablebox and the ps3 when watching DVDs so i know its not the source. If i connect via component cables at 480p the image is completely stable and doesn't do the small jumping up and down. Any advice would be great!

That is strange. 480p is the "safe mode" for HDMI, so it should definitely be supported by both your source and display. Is it a plasma or LCD TV? I know that some PDP's will shift the image around to avoid burn in, but that should occur on any of the inputs and not just HDMI. I'll try to ask my engineers if they have some troubleshooting advise to see if it might be something with the TV's electronics.
