I wasn't sure where to put this thread/question, but I guess HDTV Programming will suffice. MODS, please move it to it's appropriate area if necessary.

Anyway, over the past four days, our station (a CW affiliate) has received about 15 waiver requests from Directv. These were all noted as "Analog" requests.

The weird thing is, we haven't had a waiver request in about two years. Also, it's an analog waiver request, and Directv carries our analog channel.

All but one of the requests are graded as having a Grade-A signal, and located in our DMA. The lone Grade-B viewer isn't in our DMA, but is in our coverage area.

Anyone know what's up with this?

DirecTV just added the CW to DNS on channel 385. I'm guessing the waiver requests are coming from grandfathered people with the old 18" single LNB dishes that are wondering about the channel not subscribed message while they're flipping around their DNS channels.

That's awesome, in my market the Fox station carries the CW on a 2 hour delay. I'm guessing that would not be a legit reason to get a waiver but having the delay is a real pain if I ever want to watch something on the CW, not to mention they also favor Fox when it comes to anything. Any guesses if the Fox station would accept a waiver?
