Hi,

I am parting out a very low hour Ampro 4200 and it has SOny 09MI tubes in it. I was under the impression that theses are the same tubes the sony 1292. It seems that 1292 uses sony 09MFX3 or similar tubes. Does anyone know if the 09mi tubes from the 4200 will work in the 1292 or any other projectors

Hmmm,

I find it hard to believe that no one here has tried this?

To the best of my knowledge, the Ampro 4200, the Barco 1200, and the Sony 1292 share the same tubes.

AS long as the raw tubes are the same size and have the same pinout, they interchange. THe swapping between LC housings, should be the same as any other tube. Dissolve the silcone, swap, reseal..
