I got a 35 foot HDMI DVI cable from Monoprice to connect a HD DVI to my Hitachi 55HDM71 plasma. I have strung the wire and am awaiting some help in connecting it. It is quite heavy and wall mounted so it is more than a one man job.
I can't see the connection at the bottom of the set but when I look at the schematic on the Owner's manual the DVI connection is listed as DVI-STB and looks different from my Monoprice cable. The manual shows a rectangle of maybe 27 or 30 pins about 9 high and 9 or 10 wide and the cable has a connector with two square blocks of 3x3 (9). The schematic is very small and hard to see exactily how many pins there are.
Help! Do I have right connector? I would hate to pay somebody to come over here to help and then find I need to order something else.
Does anyone have this model Hitachi that has used HDMI DVI?
Thanks,
Bill
