I am looking for a TV stand for a 50" flat panel? What cool ones have other people found? I am looking for a metal/glass one (but frosted glass since that shows fingerprints and dust less.)

I have been looking myself for my 50" in Plasma. I have some unusual dimension requirements.

Atleast 30" H
Alteast 55" W
Atleast 19" D

With all this being said I have only found one that falls into this range.

Sanus WFAV66.... Quite Expensive though at 800-1200 dollars but it holds alot of components and is plenty wide and high. I am just not sure if I want to pay this much for a cabinet partially made of MDF. If you have found something let me know.... It would be greatly appreciated....

This might be an option for some of you. Since I wanted our 50" plasma as high off the ground as possible I''m taking a 60" sink base cabinet, filling in the toekick and then wrapping the bottom with some 1x4 oak. This make the cabinet look like a piece of furniture and not a cabinet, then putting on a top and then staining the whole thing to match the rest of the wood work in the house. This puts our panny at counter height and place for our equipment in the cabinet, away from prying little hands. I'll get some pics up as soon as I'm done. Total cost will be under $200.

I thought about a similar option using an old wood dresser. But I felt that I wasn't handy enough to make it look good as a media cabinet. Anyway, I was able to find the dimensions that I needed in a cabinet from Home Decorators. It's not exactly a media cabinet but it meets the dimensions that I needed

H 35 1/2
W 63
D 20

Dimensions inside of the cabinet are 17 1/4 D and 58 W. Pretty nice considering it retails for around 450 with shipping. Fortunately, I was able to luck out and found someone selling one on Craigs List for 275 that was only 8 months old! I love this cabinet. It will hold more components than I could possibly ever need and its beautifully finished in a mission style.
