TheCrackedJack 01-27-07, 04:27 PM There's plenty of pics if you look on the right page. Check pages 12,13,14 of the first link I posted. You just have to look in the right places to find them.

Nathan Troutman 01-29-07, 10:52 AM I have a few shots posted here at AVS. Not the best in the world but it gives you at least something to take a look at. http://gallery.avsforum.com/showgallery.php/cat/500/ppuser/7562194
This projector is AWESOME!
HeadRusch 01-29-07, 11:15 AM Screenshots are useless.
You can go back to threads from 2002 and see screenshots from projectors like a Sanyo Z1 that make it look like the PJ has a contrast ratio of 100000:1, when in reality it was more like 600:1.
digital cameras cannot capture the true essence of a reflected image in a darkened room, hence all screenshots make almost all projectors look "amazing".
Thats why everyone says screenshots are fun to look at, but absolutely cannot be trusted, as you cannot glean any information from them unless the picture itself is excessively green, etc, etc. And even then....is it the projected image, or is it the camera blowing out the whites or crushing the blacks or......(etc, etc).
Nathan Troutman!! Thank You Very Much For The Pics.
Nice pics, Nathan. Gotta love that Bravo D1 pause icon :D

Very true. They are useless. Once in awhile, a member will post two identical screenshots from the same source in the same theater with the same camera. This allows for some relative comparison, but a screenshot alone should never be taken into account when making a purchase decision.

It's the best $40 I've ever spent in my audio visual buying history. It really does an outstanding job upconverting DVDs.

These are on a 100" Elite Screen, Discovery HD on a H20 Directv Receiver (the pics do not do the HD1000 any justice, in person it looks stunning) ;) ...

65cobra thank you for the pics!! and i also think the screen shots are fun to look at.
HeadRusch 01-30-07, 07:40 PM My point was that you can look at any screenshots here, in any thread, for any projector on AVS Forum.....and they're all gonna look about the same :)
artinhawaii 01-31-07, 11:12 AM No purchase is without risk but my impression is also that these Mitsu owners are a happy bunch for sure. I went with a Z5 and it just arrived today. I'm also drooling at the price of only $ 1299 for such great stuff that we only dreamed of just a year ago.
