Sup All,
I just got my HD1000 on thursday, upgraded from a x1. But I am having some problems with my HD1000 ever since yesterday it has been turning itself off randomly. Now it turns on then either turns itself off or both lights on the top are green saying its on but no light coming out. Anybody HELP??

Power supply problem? What's it plugged into? Try plugging it directly into the wall or switching outlets. Other than that, I'd just send it back and get it replaced.

yeh i had it plugged into a monster power strip. Tried unplugging it and going directly into the wall and the same thing it will power on then shut itself off

Somewhere I ran across an issue the projector will have on exhaust. You will have to do some research but it may have been in the manual or somewhere in one of these forums. What I remember reading is if the projector is pulling in it's own exhaust or air too hot for itself the shutdown mode will occur. I may be wrong but it's worth a look. this scenario is doubly bad because if the bulb is already hot and the unit shuts down without proper cooling the bulb life is compromised.
Good luck.

I think you'd only get the 'heat feedback' if you have the HD1000 in an enclosed cabinet with the only venting in the rear, as the front exhaust can be drawn back into the rear inlet ( on the same side ).

If I remember correctly, you can go into the secret 'info' menu ( by pressing UP ENTER DOWN on the projector body ) and see how many times it's shut down due to thermal problems.
