I just picked up the Philips version of the Silver Sensor at CC for use with a 3d set due to soon arrive. Even sitting on the floor mated to my crappy old Dish 6000 OTA tuner on an old crt, it's pulling in 80+% on most local digitals. My question is whether I should replace the RG-172 coax it comes with with RG-59 or RG-6? Or will it really not matter? The antenna will eventually be located on a 23" high stand behind the plasma set, so its needed length of cable is only a few feet.

The antenna will be harder to keep steady/stable on a surface with rg6 or rg59.

The cable would be too stiff when the cable bends down to the floor.

The antenna is light and would fall over.

That is why they used that cable.

The few feet involved will not matter.
