Has Sony pulled this title from the Blu-ray release schedule?

Well thanks rboster but that thread doesn't come close to answering my question. So I ask again, since this title is no longer available from Amazon does anyone know if Sony has delayed it yet again?

Yes, it's delayed again. It'll be released in March, the same day that Casino Royale will be released on BD.

Seems like a marketing move - get extra sales due to the Daniel Craig connection.

If you don't mind importing, it's been available in Japan since November.

Thanks for the clarification....cause your first post was asking if Sony had pulled it...which the thread basically said it had been pulled.

My DVDEmpire pre-order is still up and they're usually pretty quick to notify you if a date changes.

ever since watching this on starz last month i cant get enough of this movie. it just plain and simply kicks ass. plus the fact that it has Colm Meaney makes this a favorite of mine. i plan to pick this and casino royal when released in march. march will be a good month for the ps3 indeed.

I had this in my cart a while back and didn't complete the order because the 10% discount wasn't active. Now I go back to order it and it's no longer available?!?

Same thing happened with Happy Feet!! I guess I need to stop waiting for the discount and place my order while the title is still available...

I have the Japanese version. Very good PQ. The colors are noticeably more vibrant though the film has sort of a diffused look to it. Haven't really checked out any of the extras because it was a nightmare just to turn off the subtitles since I can't read Japanese.

I am still looking for some information on this release.

I like how Sienna Miller is on the cover even though she is barely in the movie. Great movie by the way, will definitely be picking this up. I will never hear 'Ordinary World' again without thinking of this flick.

I can't believe that this is still not back up on Amazon! I was holding out to buy Casino Royale and this on the same order for my 10% off.

I haven't heard any rumors that the date was pushed back, so it's just funny how they had it up for sale, pulled it, and now just a month away, still nothing.

Yeah, I haven't heard anything about a push back. The reason they pulled it from it's original November release was to put it out at the same time as Casino Royale to take advantage of the marketing. This BD has been out in Japan for a while already.

Just a heads up. I just got a PS3 and went to a Walmart here in SoCal to find a Blu Ray movie and Layer Cake was one of the movies I almost picked up. I did not see any sort of review on it so I passed and just grabbed MI3 as my first title. Anyways....LAyer Cake is out there.

I'm in OC, CA. It was the Walmart in Orange. I'm a noob on these forums but I'd hate to think I could'nt tell the difference between SD and BD. They also had Phonebooth which I thought was not available yet. Now I'm starting to second guess myself, I have never seen the movie or heard any reviews so I did'nt pick it up. I came home and looked it up online to see what the quality was like and came across this thread. Maybe I'll make a trip back out there and check again.

Which player do you have? Doesn't the remote have a "subtitle" button on it? If you have a PS3, you should consider buying the optional remote control (about $25). It has a dedicated subtitle button so that you can bypass the main menu.

I was waiting too, but am leaning on using the $15 paypal discount from somewhere else. Departed and Layer Cake for $33.68 total.

I just wish they had the shipping features of amazon. I hate how much more it costs, maybe they should learn their lesson and not ship each disc separately.
