I've used the Terk HDTVa, the RCA ANT537, and the Winegard SS 3000. All three have worked to some extent, but none have been exactly what I want. I figure that being within 15 miles of the towers and all of them being within 5 degrees of each other, I should be able to get an indoor antenna to pick up all the channels with no major (and preferably no minor) problems.

So far there have been annoyances with all of them (especially the Terk). I thought the Winegard was going to fix all my problems, but I still have issues picking up a few channels (especially 10.1 and 43.1) - the signal will occasionally drop down to about 20 and I'll lose the picture. If I arrange the antenna a certain way those channels become strong, but the rest become quite weak, which confuses the heck out of me since the antenna for those two stations is supposed to be in the middle of the rest...

I want to stick with an indoor antenna, and I definitely want a solution before Sunday when I have about 20 people over to watch the game on my new HDTV. ;) So any help would be fantastic.

Have you placed any of the antennas upstairs, in the attic, or at a high place in a room with minimum obstruction in the direction of the towers? At 14 miles, you need to minimize people walking around the antenna and obstructions in the house.

No, I haven't. I'll try to put it upstairs - there's a loft right above my TV.

Well I put the RCA antenna up in the loft and it works GREAT. I'm going to see if the Winegard performs the same way, because I can still return the RCA.

Now the only problem is a cable dangling down from the second floor. ;)
