I have analog cable and get analog channels as well as the 3 local qam channels. I have a fusion hdtv5 rt gold card that I originally used with their software in windows. It pulled in the analog and the digital channels fine but using knoppmyth I can't seem to replicate this same situation. Zap2it seems to be having an effect in mythtv since it is only setup for the analog stations an their is no reference for myth to pair the digital channels to the zap2it guide. How can I get mythtv to do the same thing as the fusion software did under windows? Also I have looked at mythtv archives but know solution was found.
Thanks

Configure zap2it with a digital lineup for your area. Note the exact names used by zap2it for the clear qam digital channels. Use mythtv-setup and refer to the digital source, do a channel scan and rename the channels you want so that they match the names used by zap2it. run mythfilldatabase.

I had the same problem, Fusion 5 would pick up all the channels under Windows, but for MythTV, I had had to find the transports freqencies that had the clear channels on them (Comcast has a zillion transports setup with all the music/ppv/etc), and manually add the 7 or so clear QAM channels.
Basically I followed a guide I found on the web that was created before Myth included the QAM scanning feature. I believe I googled "Mythtv QAM setup" and found it.
In my case, doing a transport scan didn't provide any channel names, I had to find them by the trial and error method.

Me too... I went through each of the QAM channels I scanned in and used the front end Channel editor (I believe you press E when viewing a channel in liveTV mode) to enter the XMLID of each station to get it to be the right station. Also, the version of myth I run from the Ubuntu edgy repos only allows the pcHDTV cards to be setup as a digital and analog tuner at the same time. I know the svn version also supports the KWorld ATSC 110 doing this is well. I don't know if it is in the functionality to allow the Fusion card to do both at the same time in myth as you have done in Windows (if you can, in the setup Caoture card screen in mythtv-setup you'll have an "Analog Options" button, but it should be easy enough for the developors to implement. I simply mentioned it at the mythtvtalk forum for the Kworld and it was in the svn the next day.
