my neighbor wants to watch comcast cable on his pc. i plan to install an hd tuner card on his pc but dont know what card to use. i personaly have the hd wonder from ati but i guess that one is no longer sold. or would a "slingbox" be a better solution?

If he's planning on using a supported player application, such as SageTV, I like the HDHomeRun (http://www.silicondust.com/wiki/products/hdhomerun) networked QAM/ATSC tuner. A lot more flexible than a PCI card.

Otherwise you might want to try the Home Theatre PC forum.

a PC tuner card used with cable must have a QAM tuner as well as a digital ATSC over the air tuner.

The Dvico Fusion card is one such dual tuner card, so is their external USB attached box.
