HI everyone. I've been reading a lot on this forum for the last few weeks and I'm about ready to take the plunge. As a lot of people out there, I"m stuck on choosing my PJ. Here are my room requirements :

8 ft ceiling. The farthest I can mount is 12 ft, but with length of PJ and such is probably around 11'7".

Screen size : I'd be happy with a 96 but wouldn't mind something a little bigger.

Price range : I'd like to stay under $1500 if I could.

Mounting : Probably ceiling mount.

Light : I can make it pretty dark, with very minimal ambient light.

I was looking at the HD1000 but I'm worried about the offset. (considering I have no experience in setting one up and not real sure) Plus running the numbers it looks like with the HD1000 it would be about a 92" screen.

BTW, looking for a good 720p PJ. Can't afford a 1080p yet, plus I'm in an apartment so waiting for better PJ once I buy a house and can build a room.

Thanks for any input!! All the PJ's look good with each having some sort of down side, just a little overwhelmed right now. Thanks in advance!!

I would but the Epson TW700 for $1500. I just got one and it's amazing. You can buy it from a US company and it comes with an international warranty for 2 years. Try broadway photo just don't buy any of the extras they try and sell you. It has awesome mounting capabilities you can put it just about anywhere.

I highly recommend the HD1000. I've had mine about 1.5 weeks and I love it. You'll have no problem with an 8' ceiling. My ceiling is less than 7' and I needed 4 clicks of keystone, with no change in image quality.

Thanks How big is your screen? and how far do you sit back? I liked the HD1000 but thought something must be wrong with it at first since the price is lower than others. I've been reading these forums for about 2 weeks now and have to say there's a lot of information to sort through.

My screen is 106" diagonal, MDF painted with Behr Ultra Pure White, flat finish. I sit about 15.5' from screen. My first row is about 11' back.
