Currently I have a Motorola DCT2224 STB that is connected with S/PDIF for digital audio on the digital channels and also analog L/R connection so I get audio on the analog channels.

Charter is supposed to be installing a DCT6200 STB this Thursday and I was wondering if anyone knows for sure whether or not the S/PDIF connection on this STB sends signal on the analog channels?

Both of the DCTs output Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) audio for the analog channels over the SPDIF/Toslink connections.

Perhaps it's my terminolgy, but I get absolutely no sound from the analog channels if I use only the S/PDIF connection from the DCT2224 to my pre/pro.

I have my Anthem AVM 20 configured to auto select input source from the STB and it always goes to digital input on the digital channels and drops back to analog input when I tune an analog channel. If I set the input to digital only I get no sound on the analog channels.

I've had the setup for several years now and I'm pretty sure I've tried every combination of STB settings and pre/pro settings in order to get the analog channel audio via S/PDIF, but it's been all for naught.

I'm hoping it's different for the HD STB...
