I just got this in the mail from my local Comcast here in Tallahassee, Florida.

They are advertising that by March 1st, they will have the following channels in HD if I get the $5/month HD service.

5. WFSU-DT (PBS-HD)

11. HBO-HD
12. Showtime-HD
13. Cinemax-HD
14. Starz-HD
15. MHD (newly launched here)

Here is the new stuff from the flyer....

16. FSN-HD (I would imagine FSN Florida & Sun Sports events here)
17. The Golf Channel/Versus HD
18. National Geographic Channel HD
19. A&E-HD
20. Universal HD

So Comcast here is offering 20 channels (21 if you count Golf and Versus seperately) and they include it all for $5/month extra.

I have had Universal HD for about a month and love it. Then about two weeks ago I got The Golf Channel and what a waste of bandwidth! It is horrible. 90% of what is on is in SD or stretched SD. I won't pay anymore for it! TNT-HD is stretch-O-Vision as well with the exception of live sports events. I could live without it as well. What I want to know is when will we get the VOOM exlusives and if we will get CNN and Sci-Fi HD Channels in the Fall!

Some Comcast areas, including Detroit already have these channels. We in Detroit also have our CW and MNT stations in HD on Comcast.

There is alot of content now on the Golf/Versus HD channel. The weekday rounds of the PGA events will be in HD, plus hockey from Versus. Other events such as Bull Riding and some other shows are also in HD.
There is also alot more HD content on TNT besides live sporting events.
