I sent in two seperate rebates from the PS3 coupon booklet I received and I have already received both of my rebates for them. I received the rebates yesterday in the mail. The entire process took around 14 days. Very slick process!!

Yep..could not believe it. Received both in the mail yesterday easily within 30 days. I believe I sent these in around the beginning of January. Very surprised...never had a movie rebate work out in such a timely fashion. :cool:

Had a question I purchased Goodfellas at Newegg. On the Newegg's receipt all it says is Goodfellas. No where on the receipt does it state its a blu ray disc. Will I have an issue with this? thanks

I sent the Amazon packing slip from my X3 purchase, along with a copy of my online invoice (if I remember correctly). You can always go back and print that out from the Web site. It didn't hurt at any rate to include it.

the thing is that both the packing slip and my online invoice just says "Goodfellas" I will take the chance and send in both.

as your PoP/UPC is for the 'Goodfellas' BD, i don't think there should be any problem. as i mentioned they weren't sticklers for the UPC over the PoP, so i can't imagine why they would try to deny your claim because your receipt doesn't specifically state "Blu-ray".

I sent in 4 of the rebates in late December and a fifth in early January. I received all 5 rebate checks this past weekend. Very nice.

A sixth rebate form was sent in last week. Let's see how long that one takes to process.

I'm pretty sure Canadians did not receive the coupons. I have not heard of a single canadian say they received the coupon book.

It was included with Tagaleda Nights movie. If you did not get the PS3 with the free movie, then you probably didn't get the coupon. The free movie was limited in the early batch release of PS3.

I didnt get the Taladega Nights but I did get the coupon book. So that doesnt work.

I just picked PS3 over the weekend from Target and didn't get Taladega Nights but got the rebates booklet. The PS3 has two packets. One has the manuals and all related to PS3 and the other packet has a small packet with promotional material for Blu-Ray. Well, not exactly promotional but has a small packet with material which had info on some PS3 game(s), a paper cut in the shape of disc with info about Blu-Ray and this rebates booklet.

If Im not mistaken since Im at work, isnt there a web address to go the the Sony Rebate website and see what movies they have to offer on the deal as well as print out the submission forms? I have the booklet but Im nearly sure that this is possible, wish I could give the address right now though.

Got 5 of mine yesterday! Couldn't believe how quickly they came in.

Could it be that if no rebate booklet is included then the unit was a return? The original buyer did not include the booklet upon returning. Just a guess.

I got all my rebates back a few days ago, I mailed them out pretty much the first day I got my PS3.

Mine took 6 weeks.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I think I actually lost brain cells watching that thing...

I made it about five minutes into it before I retired it back into the PS3 box in the basement... the wife walked out of the room after about 3 minutes. Even the PQ of this flick was fair at best.

They may break it up by studios (ie. Fox goes to this group, Liongates goes to this group, etc...) thus one group maybe faster than another. Are your rebates for the same studio?

Doesn't the rebate go to the same address? I was first worried because I had bought two movies from different studios on one receipt. I initially thought I had to send them into separate address' and yet I had only one receipt and they want originals. Correct me if I am wrong, but I have four on three different receipts with two on one receipt as I said before. Can't I send them all in one envelope to the one address?

I got all three (I think I sent in three) of my rebates today for Goodfellas, Underworld Evolution, and Invincible. Looks like I am only going to have to buy Casino Royale two Tuesdays from now and will consider Layer Cake as "free" :). I think you can use a copy of the receipt. They can see that you have two movies on one receipt, I would think they have alittle smarts and can figure it out :cool:

Yup...makes sense. Althought all the rebates go to the same clearing house address, one could imagine that such a clearing house will not issue a rebate until they, first, have been reimbursed by the particular studio. Cuz who's gonna pay out up-front (except, of course, us the customers :p).

guys: i know target isn't quite the location to buy blu ray movies because of their terrible selection, but i came across something some of you might find useful. i've now bought 3 movies for this promotion from target, and in each of the cases (t2, x3 and nacho libre), target put a sticker of the upc on the outside of the plastic wrap of the discs. i simply peel off the upc sticker to mail in for the rebates, and my cases are unharmed...

I only received two rebate checks last week......four still have not arrived. Any reason for concern?

They have to be using multiple companies to handle these rebate offers. I had no issues with the HD-DVD or Blu-Ray rebates. I received the HD-DVDs in about 7 weeks, and the Blu-Ray movies in less than 4 weeks.

I must admit I was very very suprised by this considering all of the issues others have had, I sent my form for the HD-DVDs in November, and the Blu-Ray form in late January.

No problems here. Sent my rebate in the first week of January, and got them today.

I sent out my form early December when I got my PS3 and also still waiting on my movies. No sign of anything so far including postcards. But then again, I live in Canada.

Although, I no longer have the previous card they sent me in ealy January.. the tone of this one is different. The other card gave an eta.. something like 2/11 and this one seems to imply that if you don't return and they don't recieve the card indicating a willingness to wait they are going to cancel the order.

Sony can't distance theirselves from this with the suggestion this is an issue with the fullfillment company. It was a Sony offer. I bought a PS3 direct from SonyStyle. Now a half year later, they are trying to get people just say oh well, why bother waiting anymore.

Sony never ceases to amaze me at what they will do.

I purchased a new Playstation 3 60Gb in January 2008 on the Internet. My receipt was from a different state, but it was still honored. I submitted the rebate in January and I received my free 5 blu-ray discs in April 2008. It was a long wait, but I did receive the discs.
