Post here if you have an HL-S series DLP samsung (720p) and what your setup is. I'm curious how the 1080p media from BD and HD-DVD looks on 720p displays, since it has to downscale it (I heard it was an issue with PS3, has this been resolved?).

I have both formats and look great on my 42" HL-S. If you are thinking about getting either format I believe you will enjoy them. BTW I have my HD-A1 running at 720p and my PS3 running at 1080i.

The movies I watched were pretty equal quality wise, but I have only seen newer BR titles and not any of the older titles which people complained of the transfers.

Yeah, I have the 56" model and the PS3 and it looks good to me, but I still wish I had waited a few months more and got the 1080p display instead. Oh well, it's pretty much brand new so I'm stuck with it now.

You'll like the look, it's nice and sharp depending upon the movie, my favorites being Corpse Bride, Kung-Fu Hustle, Monster House, Ice Age 2, etc. etc...
