I am trying to get a nice Elvis compilation but I am not sure which one has the best SQ. The reviews on the #30 hits SACD seem to be mixed. All I care is for which one has the best SQ so if anyone has tried both, please let me know.

I think you meant the 30 #1 Hits DVD-A.
I think you meant the 30 #1 Hits DVD-A.
I've got a copy of this DVD-A and the mix is pretty horrible. Not sure about the other title mentioned.

I just got the ESSENTIAL that has 4 songs but , and I know they were recorded like that, the first part of the CD that has Jailhouse Rock, Dont be Cruel, etc...are in Mono albeit a very clean sounding one.
I would like to get stereo versions of those songs. I have a flac file of Jailhouse Rock were Elvis sings on the Left speaker and the rest of the band is on the right one. Its very cool cause you can hear them talking in the recording studio on how to do the song. Any idea what collection is that?
Regards
Looks like EE Volume Two is sort-of stereo (binaural):

I haven't heard this one...

I have the Elvis DVD-A and although I haven't listened in a while, I consider it one of my worst high resolution discs. The Elvis compilation I play is the three disc "Hitstory" CD set that was available from yourmusic.com for $17.97, I guess it is $20.97 now. I like it much better than the DVD-A and I believe the first disc in the set is actually the 30 #1 Hits CD.
I may play the DVD-A again soon and see if it is better than I recall.

The dvd-a of 30 hits is the worst disc ever. Buyer beware.

Did Elvis ever recorded a stereo version (or binaural) of Hearbreak Hotel , Shook Up, and Dont be Cruel?

The Elvis DVD-A is a bad DVD-A. Mostly because the material does not lend itself to surround, and the surround engineer did a horrible job, or never had access to the multis. This is a sad example of one of the only RCA HiRez surround discs that was released (before the merger). They should have chosen "Nilsson Schmilsson", "Jefferson Airplane/Starship", or another RCA artist with a catlog that lended itself to surround.
