Well guys I'm in the market to replace my current 30" 1080i CRT. There are a few reasons I want to replace this in case you are wondering. First off the geometry is a complete mess on the outer edges (a straight edge on a door way for instance bubbles in and out). Second, it was an early hd tv and it will not convert a 720p signal to 1080i, it just shows no video, that has not been a big deal as most of my equipment will do the conversion for me, but it makes doing computer hookups and whatnot a hassle. Finally, its just one heavy TV.

Anyway, here is what I'm thinking, LCD or Plasma, you tell me. I would like it to be within the 32" to 40" range. Looking to spends $1,000 - 1,500. Is 1080p viable at this price range? Or should I just stick with a 720p set. I'm looking for any number of suggestions and comments.

Ricky, there is a lot of this information spread around here, so you may not generate much response. I suggest you start reading some threads & maybe try coming back with a more targeted question.
