My old (3 yrs!) NEC LT240K 4:3 1024x768 does a more than adequate job with DVD and HDTV, and provides an incrementally better picture in HD DVD. Scaling to 16x9 deals with usual letterbox issues, but picture is good for anything but standard def TV -- it really sucks. Will a video processor help with lower def signals and also improve HDDVD-HDTV quality, or am I better off putting the bucks into a 1080p 16x9 PJ?
