Hi all.

I have a Home Theatre that has analog rca and digital optical inputs.

I have a laptop that has a S/PDIF jack that is the same jack I plug in headphones.

My question is does a cord/ adapter exist that will let me get digital from the S/PDIF to the digital in on my HT? If so can someone provide a link?

Thanks in advance!

Try and locate an Apple store. I'm using one on my Mac Mini. the adapter was made by Belkin. Just a warning, they break really easy.

Hi, to the two people who wrote back... are those cords mini TOS in that they work by light? Or do they convert the light to an electronic signal? I am pretty sure my laptop jack does not emit any light. Excuse me if this is a dumb question!

The one I'm talking about work by light. The mini plug adapter plugs into the headphone jack of the Mac Mini. You then connect a regular optical cable to the adapter and receiver.
