Hi i have a samsung HLS5066 DLP that i have recently made a MCE HTPC to connect to.
While still picture quality at 1280x720@60 is great there is aweful tearing on any fast moving pictures especially with horizontal panning. I have been messing around with the timing settings and so far the best i have come up with is 1024x768 @timings stated in the samsung manual.
Of course that resolution is not wide screen and pointless for my wide screen content.
Has anyone else found better settings for widescreen content over the vga port? I can also try the component output my graphics card supports but i only have two component inputs on the back of my tv and they are already used.

Graphics card = Geforce 7300gs
Tv Tuner = Hauppauge wintv pvr 150 MCE
