Analog cable/broadcast SD will not look good on any large digital display.

You would be far happier with the picture from a DVR that records high-definition and other digital channels at 100% original quality. If your cable provider is Comcast, they will soon offer a Tivo software upgrade in areas that use Motorola set-tops.

Regardless, I would suggest you request the HDTV DVR from your cable or satellite provider.

I am currently running an old Dish Pro Plus or is that Dish Plus Pro. Any any rate, it's over s-video with this Samsung, and I think it looks pretty darn bad. Try to get a newer DVR with HDMI, if you can.

With 1080p and 1080i source material, this set is amazing.

You've got to be kidding. SD TIVO through S-video will look like crap on every large-screen HDTV. Either upgrade to HD TIVO, skip the TIVO, get at least component cables, or skip the HDTV.
