Just finished my coffee table MP3 player, what do you think? All comments welcome.

It is a 2.66 Ghz P4 with 512MB DDR400 and a 20 Gig main HD, a 400 Gig Slave and a CD burner. I got all of the parts from the junk pile at work with exception of the new mother board, flat panel display, and a used CD burner from an old PC of mine.

My wife looked at it and said "I want that!"

I think I have enough pieces lying around (except the monitor) to do that as well.

I love it! I laughed...but I love it. :)
I remember thinking some years ago "why aren't computers built into furniture like coffee tables?"

If you have a 20GB drive and a 400GB drive... why would you use the 20GB drive at all? Even if they're both 7200 rpm, the 400GB drive HAS to be faster, and thus would run everything faster.

The separate 20GB drive makes it easier to wipe the OS and reinstall without disturbing the data. The speed difference doesn't matter for playing MP3s.
