Stromprophet 01-29-07, 05:10 PM I wonder how soon Casino Royale will be available as that's coming in March as well.
Kroenen 01-29-07, 05:16 PM That's a good question about Casino Royale. I'd have thought that it would have been up by now.
Stromprophet 01-29-07, 05:19 PM I'm really interested to see Casino Royales picture quality, it's a 50GB disc using AVC it should be quite spectacular. I think it could be the best selling Hi-def movie thus far.
Pretty big movie, was very popular and I could see it being a big DVD movie as well.
WirelessGuru 01-29-07, 06:13 PM Hmmm.... that Amazon listing shows a photo of the Blu-Ray version, but clearly states "DVD" as the format. If I were to purchase this, I would verify the correct format with Amazon first.
Mongoos150 01-29-07, 06:43 PM I believe all of Amazon's format listing for Blu-Ray titles say "DVD." Not to worry, Amazon probably never updated their format entries from whenever they had their inventory category logging software installed.
Kroenen 01-29-07, 06:52 PM FWIW the format now states Blu-ray.
MASrules 01-29-07, 07:01 PM My wife just asked me if this was going to be coming to Blu-ray.
Looks like another pre-order for me.
Mongoos150 01-29-07, 07:05 PM I wish Toy Story I/II, Nemo and Incredibles would hurry up and be announced!
Thanks for the update! :)
Up with the odd price of $23.95.
properbostonian 02-27-07, 12:27 PM I have to admit I loved this movie! It was the biggest surprise for me last year. And don't feel embarrassed if you watch it without a kid in tow. :)
NickFoley 02-27-07, 12:32 PM Up with the odd price of $23.95.
Why is that odd? It's WB's regular non-catalog price for new releases.
Kroenen 02-27-07, 12:41 PM Thanks for the heads up Dave.
My only "complaint" with this release is that I wish Warner would have given us a PCM track like they did with The Departed.
teiresias 02-27-07, 12:52 PM The lack of PCM is actually making me hesitant to buy it. Music-centric movies like this just demand PCM tracks for crying out loud.
Kroenen 02-27-07, 12:57 PM .... Music-centric movies like this just demand PCM tracks for crying out loud.
My sentiments exactly.
No equal audio support for BD version = no buy from me.
Fettastic 02-27-07, 01:34 PM The HD DVD has the 10% discount. I'm getting it for the TrueHD track.
