OK just sold all my beloved gear and am going to scale down a bit... I am going to be using an HDMI reciever (pioneer elite VSX-84TXS) as my video switch and have DVI cable running through my ceiling to the HDMI Display(projector) was wondering if this would work? Obviously I need two adapters but,
Will the signal be reversed at some point????..Does anyone see a problem...

If you put DVI-to-HDMI dongles on both ends, it will technically work and function as a HDMI to HDMI cable. There is no issue with worrying about polarity or duplex or anthing- it's just a simple pin to pin re-assignment. However, a dongle does slightly degrade the signal, so there could be issues associated with that. Only way to find out is to just give it a try and hopefully it comes out clean.
