Hello everyone,

I'm having difficulties in finding a component selector switch that doesn't cause ghosting or washing out the colors.

I have a ViewSonic N3251w LCD, XBox 360, and Cox HD cable through the SA 3240 HD box. I've gone through three difference component selectors with varying levels of ghostings. I use the 360 the most and the reduction in picture quality is most apparent here. The Psyclone PSC01, the Monoprice switcher, and the Impact Acoustics switcher found on Amazon have had modest to horrible ghosting, in that order.

I don't know what is going on here. Is it my cables, TV, my devices? Am I stuck with ghosting with whatever selector I get? Can anyone shed some light on my dilemma?

You are simply going to have to spend more money and buy a higher end switcher OR you can buy a joytech 240c and change out the IC. Take a look at the video switcher thread for details.

i've had decent luck with the one sold at best buy.. the bran name escapes me... I used decent cables with it and the HD cable and 360 and wii all have no noticeable ghosting and maybe 98% of the image quality intact
