I have been away from the forum for a while (so not sure if this has already been brought up by others) but I just wanted to post an update about my HD1000U. I ordered it on 11-26-06 which was after the price drop and when they had re-worded the rebate to reflect the fact that after the price drop there would no longer be the free lamp rebate. Well, I printed the PDF of the rebate before the re-worded one came out and I figured I would go ahead and send it in for the heck of it...just got my lamp rebate...paid less than $900 AND got a FREE Lamp!!!! Now I'm REALLY happy ;)

BTW, I am still in love with this projector.

Received my coupon today as well! Now I just have to remember to send it in before expiration in 2008.

The HD1000U might be my next pj. My second bulb for the 4805 blew after 90days (argh!) and my 4805 needs to be cleaned (dust blobs, warranty expired!)

I just got my rebate form today after having purchased mine for under 900 bucks in early December. I am SO stoked about this! Bargain of the century! Mitsubishi has definitely earned themselves a loyal customer with this - especially considering they could have technically refused the rebate.

Yeah, I thought I had the bargain of the century with the price I bought it for alone....throw in the extra bulb and it's down right ridiculous!! I agree, this definetly gets them some serious respect and brand loyalty from me too ;)
