Im new to HDTV and I am curiouse to know if all HDMI cable support the new 1.3 standard or are the cable specific to the 1.3 standard. If the cable does not matter will the HDMI cable support future HDMI standards as well.

Summary: the majority of cables (such as those 3m or less) will work, although they were not specifically tested for the higher speeds. Think of it as design robustness that has been put into the HDMI technology.
