So I've got this Samsung 5087 DLP that is being used to show off Xbox 360 projects so the main and only source is a xbox 360 over component.
I've got a Spyder2Pro and I know how to get into the Samsung service menu and use the built in functions to generate test patterns. However, from here, Im not sure what I need to do. My guess is that I use the Spyder on a laptop, take some readings, change some settings, read again until its within an acceptable margin. I just have no idea what readings to take and settings in the service menu to change.
I'm already familiar with creating icc profiles for PC displays. I've already got HCFR running on a laptop. I just need to know:
-How do I setup the sensor for use with a DLP TV? (LCD baffle? Distance from screen?)
-What measurements do I need to take in HCFR?
-What are the names of the settings I need to change in the service menu with respect to a standard calibration?
I've got the hardware and software all setup and ready to go. I just need to know what to do.
