How does the SR1 handle scenes? Does it treat a single scene from the time the particular recording starts until when it stops? Example: I record for 30 sec. then I stop and start recording for another 45 sec. Does the SR1 treat this as two separate scenes? If so, do I have any control over deleting only portions of a scene? Example: I want to keep the first 10 sec of the first scene I took. Can I do this or do I have to delete the entire scene? HDD's are great but it seems like the organization of the data is not user friendly. With a tape you can always rewind back to the point where you want to override what you previously shot. It doesn't seem like this is possible with the HDD organizational hierarchy.

I know you can delete the entire scene (start - stop) in camera. But I do not think you can do in camera edits of a scene. You can with the sofware but it is very cumbersome and slow. Each edit in and out point has to be rewriten to the hard drive and that takes a about a minute per edit. Depends on how big the file is though. You can't even split a clip. You just have to copy a new one. Gonna have to wait for an AVCHD editor.
