On my new MG350HD, the two screws holding the AV connectors to the back of the chassis were missing (see picture).
This may not seem like a big deal (and it's not really), but if you say use your unit in different locations and constantly disconnect and reconnect the AV connectors, without the screws the connector module will be putting pressure on the main circuit board. After a while, the contacts may break or (even worse) it could start cracking the main board from stress.
If the screws are present, then the stress of AV cable connecting/disconnecting is absorbed by the chassis.
I email techsupport (just so they know). I've requested replacement screws (crosses finger), mainly because if I was to just add my own screws I wouldn't want them to say that I voided the warranty.
Also, when I got my new unit, I was going to fire it up quickly to test it before I opened it a installed a HD. As I moved the unit I heard that "something's loose in there" noise. So I opened the unit and a screw fell out - it was loose inside. Turns out this screw was one of the screws that holds the HD mounting bracket. I'm REALLY glad I checked because if I powered it up with a loose screw inside the results could have been, well not good.
I'd suggest that others check to see if you have missing screws on the AV connector (see picture), and it doesn't hurt to make sure the screws inside the unit are fully tightened.
