Tried my second copy of Pulse I get as far as the first studio on the disc then the player displays:

CANNOT PLAY THIS DISC
ERROR CODE: 0x4094c202

I have 97 other HD-DVD discs that play without a problem I am using a Toshiba HD-A1 with firmware 2.0.

Called Toshiba they told me they told me the problem was the disc and not the player.

I know this is not the best movie I already have the SD-DVD version and the sound track is awesome I want to hear the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 surround track that http://hddvd.highdefdigest.com/pulse.html lists.

Anyone else having this problem?

I can't remember the exact error code I got with Lucky # Slevin, but I had some issues with Pulse.

Did you try putting in a DVD first and playing a little bit then putting in the HD-DVD back in?

same here,just rent this movie from netflix ,same number 0x4094c202.try two time to play but nothing.

Interesting. My copy of Pulse from NF player just fine in my A1 with 2.0. One or two minor stutters with TrueHD output.

Same here. (edited to add) It did take a long time to load initially though. In that respect it was just like another Weinstein release, Matador.

Just got back from BB I tried the second disc in their Toshiba A2 the disc loaded and I tried the menus and several different chapters of course I did not watch the whole movie but it appeared to work. I went ahead and returned the disc.

I have not tried my Lucky # Sleven yet maybe I should.

I just happen to get this from Netflix today and I watched about 45 minutes so far. No problems on my xbox360.
