i could have SWORN this movie was going to be on both formats! i was about to go and pick it up when i double-checked and it seems to be BD only so far. anyone know anything, or am i screwed again?!

Don't bother with the accusation of fanboyism. It's reasonable not to be satisfied with the releases from the HD DVD camp at this time. They damn well went dry at the very time they should have secured major, correction, ANY new releases, let alone major releases. It's your disatisfaction which pushes the competition. Which is why if you buy into both formats you're not beholden to the whimsy of either. Content will reign.

I was dissapointed about this as well. BUT, the SD version looks pretty darn good on my shiny new A2 :D

The trolls like to call other members trolls when they do not like what they see posted instead of producing a thoughtful post on the matter at hand. The way I look at it...whichever side wins I will either decide to sell the losing format on ebay with player or keep them around for future viewing or until they become available on the winning format. People are spending hard earned money on this stuff and they want to see results..not promises and that goes for both Blu-ray and HD-DVD. :cool:

I try and be fair as much as possible when responding to posts. I also try to see it from the other persons point of view if possible. Primus started the thread seemingly with no bad intentions IMO. He seemed to truly be in the dark on the release as I know I have on certain matters as busy as I am in a week. I just feel alot of people here need to stop jumping in right away attacking posts as being trolls etc....and respond with a thoughtful post. We can all express our opinions on any matter at hand and disagree with any post we are responding too but we can also do this in a respectful and thoughtful manner. :)

Take for instance some of the PS3 or HD-DVD add-on threads where you have countless newer members posting the same thread within a week asking about something fairly straight forward. I admit it makes me a little mad sometimes but I step back and think about it for a minute and think about how the original poster is truly looking for help and not really looking to cause trouble with what he or she has posted. I then respond accordingly whereas if I would have responded point blank I may have been a little harsher then I was after I thought about it for a little bit. :)

Those haven't been given solid dates yet. Most of Universal's upcoming stuff don't have any finalized dates right now. High def digest is probabluy most accurate when it comes to discs you can buy or pre-order now, not rumored or unconfirmed titles.
