Hello again guys. Something strange i've recently noticed after performing a full DIY calibration. I have my Denon 2910 hooked up via COMPONENT OUT to my SONY 55XS955 LCD RPTV. I'm noticing jagged "stair-stepping" around the edges of bright images. I do not believe i have seen this before & was just wondering if there are any values within the Sony's service menu that might have caused this. The only items within the service menu i have altered are CUTS, DRIVES, RY-R, RY-B etc., VERTICAL/HORIZONTAL POSITIONING (for centering purposes) & the focus adjustments. I have the DENON outputting an INTERLACED signal because the PROGRESSIVE output on the DENON introduced even more jagged edges!

Any ideas on how to clear this up (if any!) would be greatly appreciated guys.

Thanks so much.
Carmine.

Hey Michael, i'm really sorry if i sound like i'm repeating myself. I really appreciate your recommendations. I just started noticing this after i tried running a progressive signal & saw all the jaggies. When i switched back to interlaced it looks like they are still there but only on brighter scenes. as far as edge enhancements, everything within my TV's user menu is set to off & my DRC palette is set to CINEMOTION.

anything else that you can think of that might be causing this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you again!
Carmine.
