anyone know if this is a possiblity?? I saw this on Showtime HD the other night and was supprised how much HD made a difference with hand drawn animation, plus who doesn't love Spongebob? :)

I know for a fact that Nick has no interest in HD discs, but isn't there another studio that was part of this movie, that may?

The DVD was put out by Paramount. So it is possible for it to come out on HD DVD.

It was one of the orignal movies announced by Paramount, so it has to be coming at some point.

My daughter still watches VHS from the library. I cringe every time my wife comes home from the library with those things. I had to buy a combo DVD/VHS player just for those occasions :(. She's watching Milo - Return to Atlantis right now on VHS.

VHS is still very strong with the kids. I think most of the still made VHS are disney movies mostly.

As far as SBSP HD-DVD. I think at some point it will come but not for a longtime...

Honestly for the sub 10yr old markets I wish that either HD-DVD or DVD where cartridge based like DVD-RAM. VHS is still great for kids and easier on the wallets for parents when the discs get scratched or ruined or the tray breaks because they put it in too hard. VHS was almost fool proof.

Agreed. With cartridge, we'll have no whiners stating "I don't know which side is HD and which is SD". :p

I think DVD's are a good lesson in responsibilty, and taking care of things for kids. You scratched it and it doesn't play right anymore? To bad, don't scratch the next one or the same thing will happen.
