I have a 95 Toyota truck with a regular metal whip antenna. I just bought a JVC HD radio. I would like to improve the reception in my truck. Has anyone tried those "FM amplifier" type things? Or is there a replacement antenna I can bolt onto my truck? Thanks! I've only had the radio for a day, but driving around last night the HD was cutting in and out. Quite frustrating.

I thought I heard that there's something for AM that can be wired somehow for the windshield...I think there could be antennas also wired for the bumpers....I think that eliminates any engine types of sound while running...

Not too concerned about AM. I don't have any engine noise in the radio.

I returned the radio anyways. Not worth my time and effort to get HD radio to work.
