I've read about the Bic-100 sub ....can anyone recommend a decent sub that can throw out good bass punch for music and movies.....??

I can recommend many, depeding on your budget. You'll be hard pressed to beat the performance of the Bic H-100 @ $200 though. IMO the best value in a sub going right now. Excellent sub for the price.

just replaced my stock onkyo sub with the H100 and am VERY happy with it - placed properly in my room, I have it set at about 3 on the sub and 0 on the receiver - anything higher is overpowering. I'm thinking that it'll serve my needs subwoofer wise for a while to come - unless I move into a mansion sometime soon.
