I'm looking into setting up my audio/HT setup with a sub. Since I have never owned one before, I was hoping for some general advice as to what type, etc....Will probably be looking into the use market in the $600-700 range.

I'll be integrating into with B&W 804's running with a Parasound AVC 2500 pre/pro. I've heard they come with their own power amp built in, or should it be run through one of my amp channels? also, my HT area is about 12X10. Thanks all. :)

It seems you are looking for a powered subwoofer. You generally don't want to run a sub off your amps power because it will put a drain on the amp causing a decrease in overally quality.
