My friend just installed a Hsu Research VTF-2, and it is causing his plasma television to have stray lines during intense bass moments in movies. Any ideas how to damp these vibrations? Anyone?

Will holding the screen edge (beyond the glass) lessen the effect?? jpmst3 02-04-07, 10:49 PM My friend just installed a Hsu Research VTF-2, and it is causing his plasma television to have stray lines during intense bass moments in movies. Unless the sub is physically touching or sitting on top of the screen I cannot imagine that the vibrations would cause problems with a normally operating plasma. There may be something like a loose ciruit board or power supply issue of some sort. Active Speaker 02-04-07, 11:42 PM I just saw the problem for about 10 seconds during the Finding Nemo scene where the sub rolls down; it was thin diagonal lines that flashed when the sub rumbled. Try changing outlets for TV and/or sub so they are not on the same circuit. You may need to temporarily run a long extension cord from another room/area. Another common practice is to use an unterruptable power supply like those used on computers to condition/isolate the power problems. That is if power is what is causing the issue. |
