Hello I have a Portable DVD player the Philips Pet1002. My problem is that it has been impossible to find a replacement cable for the 3.5 jack on the player going to the component inputs. I called philips 2 times, both times I was told to go to a store and they would have what I need. I went to 3 dif stores, bought 1 wrong set of cables and was told 3 dif things. No retail store had the 3.5 to component cables. I found a set on ebay, but they don't work with this player. I was wondering if anyone knew anywhere or if someone has an extra set that they don't use I would gladly buy them off you. Its really frustrating, none of the retail guys seemed to even know what component was.

I really appreciate you guys getting me that link, but will this work with a component output? I didn't know if the composite cables worked with a component cable.

The RCA jacks are the same for composite + stereo audio as they are for component. It all depends what your player is outputting via the 3.5mm output. I highly suspect it is like mine and it is fact composite plus stereo audio.

The PET1002 has a 3.5mm output for audio and a 3.5mm output for video. The audio will work with a 3.5mm to stereo RCA(L and R) and the video outputs 3.5mm to composite(single RCA). The output from the 3.5mm jack will only output to composite. I know they call it component, but it's not.

Guys, the PET1002 has a second plug on the player for Component video. That is what he is requesting help with.

Well we gave him links to the right cable.. it doesn't matter if the 3 RCA plugs are used for component/audio or just composite.
