Hey great site glad I ran across it, trying to keep it simple what is the best flat panel 37 or up for a room. I want to spend around a 1000 or preferable less. I will be using HD cable box, does Sceptre or Maxent compare to the Pioneer which is just over my price range or should I spend the extra $$, Oh are there andy sets coming out soon at Costco that will be on sale that look good, i really want to buy my set there. Thanks in advance some of you really know your #@^&.

I'm kind of in the same boat and I think I've come up with a winner and hopefully pull the trigger when the tax check comes in.
Olevia 542I seems to be the best bang for the buck and its 42". [EDIT]
I'd love to get a 46" TV as my room size and viewing distance would accomodate but cannot justify the extra cost not to mention all the new LCD technology coming out this year.
I'll upgrade next year to a larger set if I need to...
Take a look at the 542I and you'll be hard pressed to find a better set with that amount of features at a better price..Just my 2 cents :)
[EDIT] a new Maxent ML 3251HLT 32 HDTV for [EDIT]. It also includes a built In DVD player. The picture look great. I own their 26 inch HDTV with no tuner, but the picture Is great Im just pluggged into Dircectv.Have never had a problem with this set. Seems like a good deal to me. I also looked at the Vizio and the sales rep informed me that Vizio and the Akai were the most returned sets they carry. Im not a techie but I hope this will help.
