Which one of these 42" plasma's has the best picture? Is one less suseptable to burn in than the other? Ive read alot about each on the specific threads and I think the general consensus is that the Panasonic has the best picture. But this years Sammy and Hitachi are susposed to be much improved.

Any suggestions? They can all be had for a similar price.

Well I have a sammy 4273. To my eyes it and the pioneer elite 940 had the best picture. I did see a 42" hitachi right before I bought th 4273 and it looked very good but I still preferred the sammy. The Hitachi's color rendition matched the elite. The salesman said the Hitachi was calibrated so it helped.
Anyway, my vote of course goes for my choice, the samsung. I was real tempted to buy the pioneer because of the elite label but I just couldn't keep my eyes off the Sammy. It truly had that looking out the window 3d quality. The whites and fleshtones were better than the elite's. I personally was not impressed with some of the panasonics I saw. The color seemed over the top on most of them.
