Do any of your local stores actually have HD Radios connected up and working properly?

How do they feed them a signal? I've seen elaborate demo systems in local stores, but the reception is so bad that HDRadio does not work half the time.

Most of the stores I have visited in my area do not have a great set up to demonstrate it.
A few have the portable units that may pick up one or two stations!!
However there is one car audio shop that has the JVC model on display and it picks up everything (at least on the FM)!!

Not that there are any in your area, but Fry's Electronics had a display of our HD Radio units (Sangean) and most were connected and receiving wonderful signal. In contrast I saw the HDR-1 in Sharper Image and the unit could not get signal in the mall. So interesting. The good news is that it is more difficult to even get FM signal in a retail store (normally because of all the lights, concrete and stuff) than it is in your home.

So, how will the stores get people interested in their HD Radio products, and demonstrate the various models and features, though? Maybe the stations will ahve to build houses at the malls, and demo them themselves :D .

(This is like the stores selling HDTV. They show everyone a recorded spiel that says it's coming "one day". I asked about this last week, and was told that they don't show local stations because the networks don't actually do anything in HD yet.)
