Hey guys, I have a pioneer pro-810HD elite and the tv doesnt have component connection ports, is there anyway to hook up and hd-dvd player using dvi or hdmi?

the toshiba hd dvd players have hdmi out. you can use that or get a hdmi to dvi cable and that should work fine for you.

Are you sure hd-dvd players have hdmi connections? I thought thats one of the drawbacks of hd-dvd players?

yes positive all the Toshiba HD DVD players have HDMI output. last year models HD A1, HD XA1 and the HD D1. and the new models just released the HD A2 and the HD XA2.
