Hey guys, I was hoping you could help me out here. I have a Sony Grand Wega 42" projection LCD (model KDF42WE655). I've noticed now for a few months that the TV has almost a cloudy effect to the picture. It's not the cable or any of the inputs because it exists on all inputs. Even if I switch to an input that is not being used so I get a black screen, when I hit the menu button on the remote and the white screen pops up I can see almost a cloudy duplicate shadow of the white text and lines. Overall on a regular picture it gives a clouded effect. Any ideas what's going on here? I do have an extended warranty from Sony until 2010. But I figured I'd ask if anyone has heard of it before and/or what might be the cause. The "blur" gets worse if you view the TV at an angle. If you're head on it isn't "as" bad, but it's still there. For instance, right now I have a black screen up and I hit the mute button. The word "Muting" and the box around it has a cloudy white duplicate shadow behind it. At the top of the screen is "Video 6" with a box around it. That isn't as bad as the word "muting". So it may be area-dependent. Who knows. Any help or insight is appreciated!

I've got a GW III and my bulb just blew on me last night (oh well the TV is on ALL the time) I was looking at the bulb today and I noticed the little mirror thing (sorry for being so tecnical) that the lamp buts up to was dirty/smudged over about half of it.

that could be what is giving you the problem, just an FYI

I cleaned it off, but I'll have to wait till sometime durring the week to report on that. (note to all, if you "think" the picture is looking dim, go ahead and order a bulb, cuse you have probably about a week or two before it goes out)
